Behind the Scenes – Kompani Orheim siste tagning, Stavanger

28 mai

After making my last post which is a very important case, which I´m working with atm,
Soon going to media with it, I had to write about this I stumbled upon some days earlier.
Something that makes me happy and even more interested in becoming a crew member on a movie-team.

After a long day at school, Noroff I was on my usual route down to Outland to meet up with my dear friends.
Which I usually do every thursday.
This time tho, I saw this movie team eating cake, chilling out and fiddling with the last details before a new shoot at the location.
I asked a kind-looking girl with a big chunk of cake in her mouth about this event and she told me
that this was their last shot in Stavanger before taking their stuff off to Hardangervidda and Oslo of the movie, Kompani Orheim.
The company filming this was mostly set with people from all around. Some from Aligator movies and so on.
The went under the name “Motlys”.

More information about it can be found here:
(Sorry again, English readers. This article is on Norwegian, but hopefully u will be able to see this Norwegian drama at your cinemas one day)

Kompani Orheim

I recommend tho, if possible that english readers find a movie called “The man who loved Yngve.” which is the first movie in this thrilogy (dunno really the exact name of the movie on English)
It is a great piece of drama with a handful of humor. really a sweet movie too!

I will admit, I looked like a darn stalker there I was standing… waiting literally for attention, avoiding pissing off someone and being as humble as I could…
Mostly since I have experienced bad happenings with very stressed out directors and crew members when I just wanted to ask about the movie itself.
…Which again made me NOT watching their movie. That I really didn´t want to happen for this movie serie which I really like it.

I had my camera with me this day, so I thought “Why not?! can always be nice to have some memories and something to share with my dear readers!”
So I asked if I could hang around and watch how they worked and document it.
I got directed to this awesome, tall dude with some of the most fancy glasses I´ve ever seen and I asked him, while being so humble that someone could easliy step on my head.
I got a yes, and my heart just got lifted like 10 000 x happiness hahaha. and I trottled after the camera crew.

While being at the location, I saw this young boy sat there. I asked if he was in the movie and he told me he was the main character, Jarle.
I took this photo of him, sitting next to the camera as I wanted to get most of the working space with the crews to make it look a bit more natural.
Give Vebjørn Enger a nice applause ladies and gentlemen!

A camera like THIS:

Seems like it need a battery of some sort like THIS:

Paul and his crew looking at the location, waiting for random bypassers to stop entering the door.

A little scene from the movie! Look forward to it guys! both the movie and the concept looks really interesting~
PS. If you who is having the back to me on the picture see this I can say this is my favourite shot, trust me!

Oh wow! I love these two! Give them a applause for keeping track on the Camera and the technical stuff! We need heroes like these!

So this is my documentary from my little peek behind-the-scenes from the upcoming movie, Kompani Orheim.
Norwegians, go watch this when it comes out.
This is a litte bit darker than it´s previous movies, but I bet it will be a great experience watching this in a cinema.

I will thank the crew for letting me get this close to them and their work at this stage.
I learned a lot and this will follow me for the rest of my life. and thanks for giving me hope to work harder for my dreams.
Thanks guys!

I hope you all enjoyed reading this~

Best regards from
